So far so good.17 ago 2011

Been there done that (again)… This time for Toyota, L.A. the agency: Saatchi&Saatchi! It is problably the biggest job I assisted so far and it has been amazing for the 3 most important factors: Experience, People and Food. The shooting was about a car, I cannot tell more but they were 6 rig-shot ads! No need to write that was the first time in my life I saw a car rig! (for more info google “car rig shot” or something like that). Anyway… the entire shooting was produced by John Noonan, a great fellow which I was lucky to work with already last year. He is just a PRO, no matter what. Here is a nice picture I made featuring John Noonan (Producer), Scott Wilson (Creative Director) and Ivo von Renner (Photographer aka my Chief).

At the beginning of August, here in Hamburg, I also met Mok Siu Bun – www.moksiubun.com – a photographer, director and video editor from Hong Kong, he is just one of a kind. I’m blessed I could meet him… We shared thoughts visions and inspirations… I just hope I am going to see him again maybe in Hong Kong! I also recently met a very energetic photographer based in Hamburg: Florian Schüppel – www.florian-schueppel.com – , make shure you check out both of their websites.
Then I finally could reach my family for a ten days holiday in the Dolomites, Eastern Alps, Italy. It was very relaxing and kind of productive photography-wise.
Stay tuned for new landscapes eyecandies!
This is one of the CGI pictures I made with Ivo back in October 2010, this is made downtown L.A. The car is Computer generated, I personally made the HDR 360° panorama needed for the reflection on the car render, cool isn’t it?

W.E.T. 2011 by Ines Schneider Movie is finally out!6 giu 2011

At the beginning of April I fled to Mallorca with Ivo, for the production of this small fashion commercial for Ines Schneider, a german styilist. We had a very intensive long weekend, we shot a LOT in some marvelous locations with the Canon 5D MKII and a small rig, a very wide open aperture on a 35mm lens, sometime using an LED light panel to fill in and a Sunbounce reflector. The movie is simple, fresh, easy… Is not over produced is somehow “real”. The model, Lisa Åkesson is just great, super professional, full of grace and humble, I am looking forward to develop some projects with her, as soon as we both have time to get together. Talking again about the movie I am really happy I’ve been part of it not only as the bestboy and digital-tech but also as a real creative help. I learned a lot and I think that for this kind of small movies the Canon camera really does its job, especially because you can use all the power of lensens which are made for photography.

No more words now, here is the movie:

Check out one of my latest jobs, I recently did in New York:
I’ve been assisting Ivo von Renner in the shooting of 12 ads for Manilla, the agency is called Darling from NYC. The shooting was amazing, we really did a great job!
Everything was done in a studio, on a huge white cyclodrama, a lot of props and some real creativity!
